Divine Inspiration Designer Sunil Mehra Designs Clothes to be Worn for Solace and Comfort

Sunil Mehra, is perhaps, the only label inspired by the divinity of Krishna. The styling takes inspiration from the stores, symbols and places which have places of worship dedicated to him, particularly Vrindavan. Being in the fashion industry for more than two decades now designer Sunil Mehra’s keen eye and passionate bhakti for his deity find expression in specialized detailing.

This label wants the wearer to seek peace, solace and comfort; and to wear clothing with enjoyment. The designer’s clothing tends to send a subtle reminder to the wearer to open the windows to a life devoted to the divine. In the path of spirituality, Sunil Mehra the label inspires you to connect every aspect of your life to the divine one.

Sunil Mehra embodies the world of high fashion and spiritualism together. He is the only fashion designer to do a Krishna-inspired fashion show at the Iskon Temple, Delhi – a first of its kind. His creations are woven in natural threads and each garment is a humble tribute to Lord Krishna. He says, “All I want today is that people become Krishna conscious. Clothes are not important; it is the concept behind them which is important.” He feels he is not the one who creates his designs but Krishna who makes him do so.

Sunil Mehra’s menswear collections all bear a direct or indirect connection to Lord Krishna or Vrindavan. Whether it be special jacquards with the peacock feather motif or Sanskrit lettering in miniature embroideries or hand-painted scenes in the linings.
